Meet Anika
Managing Director | Senior Support Worker
With over six years of hands-on experience in disability and mental health support, Anika specialises in working alongside individuals experiencing complex trauma, anxiety and depression.
She is passionate about helping participants pursue what genuinely lights them up — whether that’s volunteering, creative classes, community activities or simply getting outdoors.
After seeing how some services prioritised filling rosters over relationships, she knew there had to be a better way. Today, she leads Starshine Support with a clear mission: participants always come first.
Anika is deeply committed to empowering real choice and control, and to thoughtfully matching each participant with the right support worker.
She is proudly a member of the LGBTQ+ community and lives locally with her partner and their two children. Her background — including time spent living in Sweden’s Arctic Circle — reflects her love of adventure, resilience and connection to nature.
